The FA are considering Portman Road as a venue for an England friendly in August. Yesterday the FA put Leicester's Walkers Stadium on the short list for the Serbia friendly in June , and today they are looking into putting Ipswich's Portman Road on a shortlist for a freindly in August.

Portman Road holds 30,000 and would be a great venue for the travelling England team , it's about time The FA had a look at lower division clubs like Ipswich (30,000) Leicester (32,000) Forest (29,000) and Wolves (28,500) as venues for England friendlys.

With money tight at Ipswich the money generated from a friendly there would be a massive step to easing money problems.
