Trevor Francis has called for video replays after seeing his side go out of the FA Cup in dubious circumstance's. Crystal Palce boss Trvor Francis has called for the FA to introduce video replays after seeing his side dumped out of the Cup with a was it wasn't it incident.

The moment in question was when Tommy Black shot clearly went over the line just before half time, and to make matters worse the defender on the line Michael Duberry clearly handled the ball before it was cleared.

An angry Francis said "I feel like I did a couple of months ago when we lost to Sheffield United in the quarter-finals of the Worthington Cup to a goal that was at least five yards offside.

"This time, I was wrong as I initially thought the ball was six inches over the line. In actual fact, it was two feet over.

"The referee could see it quite clearly but he also has to rely on his assistants. It was a handball but it was over the line in any case and still he didn't give it.

"The question of whether the ball crossed the line should be decided by introducing technology and video replays.

"I've been saying that for some time now. Too many games are being decided by decisions from referees and linesmen, and that's a pity."

Francis also stated that the decision has cost the club millions in revenue.
