Sheffield United have confirmed that future FA Barclaycard Premier League star Michael Brown has been offered a new contract at Bramall Lane.
Brown's current contract runs out in June 2004 but Neil Warnock was keen to extend that deal as Premier League clubs where rumored (Liverpool and Blackburn and name two) to be hunting the former Manchester City strikers signature.
Neil Warnock told www.sufc.co.uk: "We have spoken to him about extending his contract and are continuing to do so. We have made him an offer and now the ball is in his court.
"Michael will be the first to agree that Sheffield United have been the making of him and there is nothing more that he would like than to help take us up this season."
