Rotherham's out of favour striker Mark Robins has turned his back on a move to Barnsley and joined Second Division rivals Tranmere Rovers. Mark Robins has agreed to join Tranmere Rovers , the Millers out of favour striker couldn't wait for Barnsley's future to be sorted and opted for a move to The Wirral instead.

Speaking to the official Millers website Ronnie Moore said "It will do him good and I have agreed to let him go because we have five strikers on our books at the moment."

Rotherham Boss Ronnie Moore insisted he was in the dark to offers from Barnsley to take the 33 year old on loan, but now Tranmere boss Ray Mathis stepped in and snapped his hand off.
