Man Utd chief executive spoke out today about changes need to be done to save lower division football. Peter Kenyon spoke out today about the Football League needs to be revamped he stated on Radio Five Live "I can't see much beyond the first two divisions being fully professional and then a third division being semi." That would result in just 40 professional clubs."

Kenyon also said "Quite clearly, I don't think you can have four divisions of professional football any longer."
"I think there are too many clubs. That's not to say that they can't exist, but they can't all be professional and that has to be reviewed."

With clubs as big as Derby , Leicester and Sheff Wednesday in finanicial turmoil it would be a massive mistake if Kenyon's views would turn into reality.

Looking lower down the divisions it would be a shame the likes of Cheltenham and Rushden and Diamonds who have struggled to get were they are and then have them turn semi pro again.

If Kenyon is so worried about The Nationwide League why doesn't he help out and put his money were his mouth is and help out clubs in dire straits like Barnsley , Bradford and York.

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce has also spoken out about Kenyon's views and has stated that it would be a awful mistake if it did go that way.
