Mark Crossley has been recalled to Middlesborough after only one game for the Potters. Middlesborough have recalled Mark Crossley from his loan spell at Stoke because of a hand injury to number one Mark Schwarzer.

John Rudge speaking on the official site said "It's bad news for us and more bad luck. We were delighted to get Mark on loan because he brought in experience and competition and allowed us to give Neil Cutler a break.

"Now we are back to square one. It is just our bad fortune that a possible injury has cropped up so quickly."

Crossley's only game was on Saturday a 1-1 draw with Gillingham , now Stoke will search high and low for another loanee.
