George Santos will hopefully sign for Grimsby this week , the deal nearly fell through because of high wage demands. George Santos is expected to sign on the dotted line at Blundell Park very soon , the giant defender/midfielder is back in training at Grimsby after a long negotiations between himself and boss Paul Groves.

Grimsby Boss was worried that he wasn't going to get the deal done and it was feared it could drag on for another month or so.

Grimsby have put a wage cap at around £50,000 a year and Santos's demands were higher then that but both partys seem to have comprimised and a deal will be done soon.
