Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore has called for Ireland boss Mick McCarthy to call his striker, Alan Lee, into the national team. Lee has been at the forefront of Rotherham's good early season form with 7 goals in 10 games.
Now Moore is backing the big man to break into the Ireland team. "I don't see any reason why he can't play for the Republic of Ireland.
"Ireland have always played with a big man up-front, but now that Niall Quinn has retired, Mick must be looking for a replacement.
"I'll be on to Mick to tell him how well Alan's playing."
