An excellent draw for the Welsh despite stars like Ryan Giggs and Gary Speed missing through injury.

Grimsby's Darren Barnard, Portsmouth Carl Robinson and Gareth Taylor of Burnley all started whilst Bradford's Paul Evans replaced Robinson in the second half.

Finland 0 Ireland 3

Convincing performance by Ireland as they brushed their opposition aside.

Only one Div 1 representative in Matt Holland who came on for Lee Carsley for the last 5 minutes. Holland will now hold talks with Aston Villa.

Northern Ireland 0 Cyprus 0

Dissapointing performance by N. Ireland in a game that was overshadowed by the death threats to Neil Lennon.

Preston duo Colin Murdoch and David Healy and Wimbledon's Mark Williams were the only Div 1 players on show.
