West Brom have completed the signing of Leicester midfielder Lee Marshall. The move had previously fell through after Marshall rejected personal terms offered by The Baggies but now the former Norwich man has signed a 3-year deal and is set to make his debut against Manchester United on Saturday.

West Brom boss Gary Megson admitted to the clubs website that the deal took longer than what he had hoped. "The negotiating process has taken a little longer than anticipated but we're delighted to have got him.

"Lee was highly sought after when he was at Norwich. But his time at Leicester probably hasn't gone as well as he or Leicester would have hoped.

"They changed their manager twice, he was played in a variety of positions, and his game may have suffered.

"But now we are giving him a chance to re-establish the momentum he had at Norwich. It's another opportunity for Lee to play at the level he wants to."
