Cup Draw Made |
| The FA Cup has come round again, Vauxhall who have fond memories of this competition
after last seasons heroics against Second Division high flyers Queens Park Rangers at
Loftus Road. Vauxhall are drawn in the second round qualifing, and for the last two seasons have
made it through to at least the 4th qualifing replay.
However to keep that excellent record in tact Vauxhall will have to beat arguably the best team they can at this stage, Southport. The game will take place at Rivacre Park on Saturday 27th September kick off scheduled for 3:00. They were recently relegated from the Conference and have adapted to life in the UniBond with a great run of results. The Sandgrounders themselves made the headlines during last season FA Cup First Round by defeating another Second Division outfit Notts County 4-2. |
| Alvin McDonald has once again pleaded with the football fans of Ellesmere Port to come to Rivacre Park, he claimed its "like playing in a morgue". The early attendances have been worring especially with a good cup run last year and two promotion pushes for the Conference. Alvin also claimed it was "soul-destroying" for players and staff alike, and his team prefer to play away to get some sort of atmosphere. www.vauxhallmotors.tk will help as far as they can in this bid to push more through the gates at Rivacre Park and help Vauxhall FC progress into a possible Conference team. |
