Stephen Aspinall has left Rivacre Park. Steve was unvielled as Altrincham's first summer signing earlier today (8th July). Steve played a big part for The Motormen last season starting 46 times in all competitions, only 5 other players started more. Steve has followed ex-team-mates Phil Brazier and talented Matty Haddrell in pursuing their career away from Rivacre Park. Steve agreed to join Alty as they offered a better pay which would help his finances. Graham Heathcote is said to be delighted with capturing a player who he has been "keeping tabs on" since his Vauxhall contract expired.

Steve,27, has preiously been on the books of Chorley, Winsford, Runcorn, Bamber Bridge and Macclesfield Town. He joined Motors back in December 2001 from Bamber Bridge he made the same switch as goalkeeper Matthew Hogg. Steve will be missed a great deal by the club and www.vauxhallmotors.tk wish Stephen all the best for the rest of his career, and hope to speak to him on his return to Rivacre Park on 9th September.
