This means that Celtic and Rangers will be the only clubs in the SPL after the 2 season notice period.

Hearts Chairman Chris Robinson had this to say "The Smaller Clubs require to take control of their own destiny."

"Under any other competent business, the 10 clubs intimated to the chairman of the meeting that we had to give two years' notice of our resignation under the rules of the SPL. "

"Any new league that we set up will be founded on fairness in terms of voting structure of a similar pattern to the English Premiership, which is a much fairer situation than the current SPL. "

"There is a process to go through to put that in place but we certainly intimated that will be happening in the weeks ahead."

Celtic Chief executive Ian McLeod had this to say "We voted against the resolution last week because we didn't think it was financially viable.

"There are other resolutions and we want to take a constructive view of that in court."

This now leave's Celtic and Rangers wondering what are they going to do?

When they gave there decision that they were not agreeing to the SPL TV idea the other 10 non old firm teams voiced there suspicions that Celtic and Ranger may have other plans.

Dunfermline Chairman John Yorkston had this to say "The best advice we have is we can do it and if that is a route we have to go down then it is one we will."
