The Timbers come out flat and the Rhino's had an easy time finding the net. This was the Timbers first match on grass this season and it showed they were not ready to deal with it.

Rochester 3 Portland 1

The score in noway reflects how one sided the game was. The Rochester Raging Rhinos took the match to the Timbers who seemed to be having problems playing on grass the first time this season. Jonathan Bolano  netted the first goal for the Rhinos in the 20th minute. Wilson scored the other two goals for the Rhino's in the 23rd and 30th minute as it was all Rochester in the first half .
The second half Rochester went to prevent defence with the Timbers only getting four scoring chances. Aaran Lines was turned away by a nice save by the Rochester keeper. The Timbers score came from the spot as Dan Antonuik was taken down by the Rochster keeper Scott Vallow on a breakaway in the 82nd minute. This was Dan Antonuik second goal of the season. Next up for the Timbers is a match Saturday June 4th in Toronto.
