A great season run comes up short as Hereford United put the Shaymens playoff bid in doubt this season. The toll of players getting hurt and getting thrown out of matches is too much for the team to maintain their winning ways.

The Shaymen playoff dreams take a major hit at the Shay

Tamika Mkandawire header in the 50th minute on a cross by Simon Travis is all Hereford United needs to win the match. The game had many chances to put the ball in the net as the out shot 29 to 9 and had 11 corner kicks to Herefords 4. The score still was Hereford United 1 and Halifax Town 0.

The Shaymen have 2 matches left and even if they win those matches to get in the playoffs they need to have the 4th and 5th place teams to lose their last two matches.
