Timbers take on the Storm

After a long period without a match the Timbers will be taking on the Calgary Storm at PGE Park. The Timbers are well rested and all injuries are gone.

Pre Match
The Timbers come into the match after a long layoff. Calgary is one point behind the Third place Timbers who have 15 points. The Timbers will be without Jake Sagare as he sits this one out for the Red card he picked up in Milwaukee. The rest of the team is well rested and the players with injuries should be back.. Adam Wilson has recovered from his injury and may see some action for the first time in a Timbers uniform.

Timbers keeper Curtis Spiteri has be given permission to leave the club for a try-out for a Second Division German team Karlsruher S.C.

The Timbers have picked up Josh Saunders on loan from the San Jose Earthquakes of the MLS. Josh is a native of Grants Pass Oregon and played for Cal-Burkley with an impressive 10 shut-outs last season and was voted PAC-10 player of the Year.

Portland handed Calgary a 4-1 defeat the last time they played in Portland but beat the Timbers in Calgary 2-1. It sould be an exciteing match and both teams need points to stay in the playoff picture.
