Marlon Chase hots up.

The Reds are reported to be chasing a familiar face in former Forest star Marlon Harewood- but it has emerged today that Kinnear's men will face stiff competition from several big clubs. Newly promoted Crystal Palace and Norwich said to be chasing the striker along with East Midlands rivals and recently-relegated Leicester City.

The Hammers have stated that they are keen to keep hold of the player and that they are not looking to offload someone who is doing well and is perfectly happy at Upton Park.

Alan Pardew purchased Marlon from us for just £500,000 in Novemeber, and as a result Harewood is would not yet be able to sign for us on a permanent basis and would have to come Trentside in an initial loan deal.

It has not yet been officially announced that we are trailing the West Ham forward, but it has been speculated much in the usually very reliable Nottingham Evening Post.
