We understand that Gareth Williams is set reject a new and improved contract offer by Forest and join Coca-Cola League rivals Leicester City.
Forest FC can confirm that Gareth Williams agent, Phil Graham, is having talks with Leicester City and Wolves over a Bosman transfer to the First Division clubs. Gareth has already rejected two contracts by Forest, and his agent spoke out about the new terms, offered by Joe Kinnear.
Williams' agent has been speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post. He said "As things stand, it is unlikely he will sign for Forest - unless they come up with a better contract offer. The deal Forest are offering at the moment is not acceptable"
This has come as a huge shock for all Reds fans, who fully expected the player to sign the three year contract he was offered. If he does join any club in England, Forest would be entitled to compensation.
