It seems that Andy Reid could be staying on for at least another season. Joe Kinnear seems protective over the player with a 10m asking price.

It's looking possible that Irish young midfielder Andy Reid could remain a Forest player and feature heavily in our promotion campaign at least for the first half of our season.

Joe Kinnear seems keen to protect the Republic of Ireland midfielder and make sure he gets the rest he needs during the close season.

He said: "I was sitting down with Reidy the other day and talking about pre-season when he told me he'd still be playing with Ireland into June.

"That means the boy's only going to be getting a three-week break all summer, so I might let him have an extra week off before he comes back for pre-season."

There's hope yet.
