Tommy Docherty... What the heck does he know about football? The man has once again proved his stupidity. It has been reflected by these comments he made in the media.
Tommy Docherty has proved that he know absolutely nothing whatsoever about football by making the following comments: Fair enough. He sure does, and it's obvious that this man has potential. So at the moment everything he's said is true. This is where it gets a bit stupid, though... Has he done his homework? 'Reidy' has an asking price of five-million or over and he is not even worth that- how he manages to get seven I don't know! Also, I can't see him being happy rotting away in the United reserves when he can get first team football elsewhere. My opinion: It's all a load of tripe!
"Andy Reid was given his chance at Nottingham Forest this season and has impressed with a string of eye-catching performances on the left-hand side."
"I have seen him seven times. On each occasion he has impressed me and at 21 he is still young enough to learn more."
"He has scored 13 goals in the league in this current campaign, which is a great total for a midfield player, and is knocking on the Republic of Ireland's door."
"And because Forest are skint, the Reds could probably get him for about £3m, when he is worth at least £7m."
