So on the same day that Nottingham Forest have effectively secured their place in the Nationwide First Division, Notts County have lost the game that means they are relegated from the second and will be playing in the bottom-flight next season.

How do the Reds feel about this? The answer is: We don't! Notts County are too much of of an insignificant team now days to bare any sort of role on the life of a Forest fan. If we were ever to meet up with County in a league game then it would just be treated as any other match against inferior opponents would and we would probably struggle to get more than 26,000 wanting to attend.

It is a great day for us, though. The only way that we could go down now would be a mathematical miracle- and I cannot see that happening. If you take a look at the bottom of the First Division table you will see that the team currently filling that third and final relegation spot, Walsall, are 20 goals behind us on goal difference and there is no way that they wil be able to overtake us now. And who made sure that Walsall occupied this spot and went this far behind us? Well it was our old pal Jack Lester who is still doing the job for us despite the obvious hurdle of playing for another team. Once again proving that there is still one decent 'Lester.'

In today's other good newsLeicester City thought they were getting lucky when they were awarded a penalty against Manchester City, but failed to stick it away and only came away with a point against the poor Manchester City. Also, Derby fell against Burnley to end their string of good results.
