Jamie Paterson scores the only goal of the game to sink managerless RMI. Caretaker boss Mark Patterson was incharge of the Railwaymen for the game because of Steve Waywell's recent departure.

The game was decided on the 75th minute when Paterson unleashed a shot into the bottom-left corner of the net past a helpless Stuart Coburn. In a thrilling game that saw end to end action, Leigh were disappointed not to pick up a share of the points. RMI now in deeper trouble in their battle to stay in the Conference.

Leigh looked a lot better from their previous four games creating chances all the way through the match. Ged Courtney forced a brilliant save out of Rovers goalkeeper Andy Warrington as early as four minutes. RMI goalkeeper Coburn made some brilliant saves throughout the match keeping the match in touching distance for the Leythers. In the second half both sides wasted clear cut chances to put their sides ahead, but Paterson's 75th minute strike was enough for Doncaster. Leigh pushed for an equaliser all the way to the end of the game but Doncaster held firm.

A hard working display from Leigh RMI today and it definatley shows that there is light at the end of the tunnel in their Conference relegation battle.
