David Moyes has praised the efforts of Alex Nyarko, spoken of the return to Bellefield of Li Tie and hasn't given up on signing Sean Davis.

The Everton midfield is the section of the first team squad that is receiving most attention this pre season.

Moyes is still hoping of signing Sean Davis. Fulham have rejected a substantial bid from the Blues, but Davis is said to want talks with Chris Coleman and the Fulham board. Moyes stated that he felt the bid was quite reasonable given the current financial climate: "The transfer market at the moment is subdued and i felt we've made a reasonable offer. Hopefully, we'll get a positive outcome. At the moment it's not positive but who knows? Things might change."

Alex Nyarko has impressed Moyes with his attitude. After a weeks training Moyes reflected: "Alex has come in and done well. It’s taken him a day or two to get back into the swing of things, but we can’t fault his training at present. He’s gone about his work in an excellent fashion. Before he came back, I’d only seen him play once for Everton in a pre-season friendly when I was managing Preston and he did extremely well on that day. So, we’ll wait and see.”

Soon Nyarko will be joined in training by Li Tie, but despite his imminent arrival at Bellefield a permanent move is no closer. Moyes stated: "He is a great boy, I just don't think the valuation on him is correct. But we would certainly extend our facilities to him if that is what he wanted."

Meanwhile Wayne Rooney is reported to have gone to see 'Busted'. Don't let the fact that he is 17 cloud the issue, it is unacceptable behaviour. It makes the usual footballer's fare of Ja Rule and Jay-Z look tolerable. While Paul Gascoigne's life is put under the microscope let's hope this sorry episode can be swept under the carpet.
