Scottish Division 3 - Saturday 17 August 2002, Raydale Park, Gretna - Gretna 4 (Irons (25), Dobie (45), Hore (62, 82)) Montrose 1 (C Webster (7)) Montrose had the perfect start with a Chris Webster goal after 7 minutes. Things went downhill from there. Gretna came back into the game and David Irons levelled for them in 25 minutes. Just on half-time, Gretna took the lead through Mark Dobie.

The second half belonged to Gretna's John Hore, who scored on 62 and 82 minutes.

This is a terrible result for Montrose and we slip to sixth position in the league.
