Following T.N.S' second successive title defeat today, Saints manager Ken McKenna could not hide his bitter disappointment at finishing runners up to champions Rhyl.

Speaking to BBC Wales On Saturday grave-faced McKenna explained "This year the title race came down to the Rhyl game, where I felt that we deserved at least a draw, but we were badly let down by parties that have got nothing to do with us, and that's just unfortunate."

Earlier in the season McKenna told us in an interview with www.welsh-premier.co.uk that anything other than top spot would be deemed as a failed season at Treflan. The full timers are funded by ambitious Managing Director Mike Harris, who has ploughed thousands into the club over the past few years. He has yet to be rewarded with the title and a stab at Champions League football that he craves, and it has been suggested that McKenna's job could now be on the line.
