Angry with charge

Afan Lido and T.N.S. have been charged by the FAW for bringing the game into disrepute following trouble at their recent Welsh Premier clash on 6th December. The incident was triggered following an alledged dive by Saints' striker Jamie Wood. Lido centre-half, Phil Holmes responded by throwing the ball at Wood, which triggered a mass brawl both on and off the pitch. Holmes was sent off for his reaction, whilst TNS Assistant Manager John Caroll was sent from the dugout for his protests.

This is the latest in a long line of disciplinary trouble for the Saints, whilst the fine will leave a sour taste in the mouth of Lido supporters and officials who claim it was TNS who provoked the situation.
