Snell was a fans favourite during the 2001-02 season before a recurring groin injury forced him to take a season out. O'Shaughnessy told the Evening Leader "He is a big lad and is just what we need, he is strong, skillful and is capable of scoring goals and that is something we missed last season."

O'Shaughnessy also confirmed his interest in ex Wrexham starlet Osian Jones, after the midfielder impressed in a recent friendly win over Wythenshawe Amateurs. However, the Druids boss faces stiff competition from several other Welsh Premier clubs for his signature. "If we can get hold of him then it will be a great signing for us."

However, according to Hunter, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. "Friday night football has been successful in some areas. Tranmere Rovers went down the route of playing Friday night football and it certainly attracted more people to their games. It worked for them and hopefully it could do the same for us."
