Nicholas leaves Llanelli


Newport bound?

Llanelli manager Peter Nicholas today left the struggling Welsh Premiership side. The Stebonheath Park outfit are stranded at the foot of the table. However, his departure has nothing to do with their league position. First team coach Terry Lewis looks like being in charge for Saturday's home game against Bangor City.
Nicholas enjoyed much success as Barry Town manager before he left to become assitant to Colin Addison at Swansea City. However the cash crisis at the Swans meant him being surplus to requirements, and he soon took control of Llanelli on a non-contract basis.
It has been rumoured he could be joining Dr Martens outfit Newport County in the near future.
