EXCLUSIVE - Flint Town - "Just a rumour"

w-p.co.uk managed to contact Flint Town Secretary Ian Norbury this lunchtime who described the ongoing Flint Town Utd and GAP Connahs Quay merger story which first appeared on an unofficial welsh prem website and then Sgorio as a just a "rumour" and that nothing has been confirmed.

While he wasnt able to comment in great detail it appears that talk of a definate merger were wide of the mark adding "I'm sure the people of Flint will want to have their own club". 

 

GAP Connahs Quay's secretary Trevor Green who'se comments can be found on this message board claims the story is a "complete and utter lie".

 We will post more here when we have any further info

To be fair, Sgorio didn't repeat the rumour, they said the story had been reported and then scotched!
