Open letter to Daniel Levy - From a true Spurs fan

I have been a fan for longer than I care to think of. I've experienced the highs and lows associated with being a Spurs fan, and I've had enough. How dare you take over our once great club, and again fill us with hope for a promising new season?
It is with deep regret that I am now considering changing my
allegiance to someone like Barnet. The whole point in being a Spurs fan is to
wallow in the misery of another failed season that promised so much. We love
the fact that during pre-seasons we are the biggest club in the world, and able
to be linked with everyone from Ronaldo to Beckham. Obviously, the chances of
us getting them are zero, and we prefer it that way...this is a local club, and
we don't like these new fangled ideas of success. We've done that before and we
don't like it. We have craved mid table mediocrity for a long time, and with
the careful management of our last few coaches we have achieved this. We had a
medical setup that was the envy of all of the other mid table teams. One that
could add months onto even the most trivial of injuries. We went as far as
employing an obvious basket case as a manager, who's basic grasp of tactics was
at odds with all right-thinking coaches throughout the game. We used to attract
players from the likes of Luton Town for God's sake, and now, we get a player
from the current European Champions. This is NOT good enough and we will not
tolerate it. I for one cannot comprehend why you think any of us want this
"European Football" competition that you speak of....We've done it before, won
things, got bored and gave it up...why on earth do you think we would want to go
through all that again? It took us years to reach our current situation, years
of incompetence, mis-management, and near financial disaster.

I demand that you start to listen to the wishes of the fans. There are real
issues here at Spurs. We have far too many promising players who have either
broken through into International football, or are on the brink of it. Ditch
them immediately, and concentrate your efforts on what colour the sponsors logo
should be on the shirt, this is after all what really matters. Under no
circumstances whatsoever should you allow your new "Fancy dan" foreign
management team to introduce ANY form of defensive organisation whatsoever.
It's not the "Tottenham way" and it won't be tolerated. What were you thinking
of.....Arsenal employed one of these foreign managers and look where it got
them??? If you carry on like this, how can we possibly look forward to
relegation? Even the new kit is half decent. What do you think that says to
our young impressionable players? I'll tell you, it says "You can achieve great
things here". Well we don't want them to, and if they do, we wont come any
more.

You've been warned Levy!
