Murphy: Town in Good Hands

Town midfielder or forward Daryl Murphy says that with MicK McCarthy as manager, the club are very much in the hands of a manager who can fire them to success.

Speaking to the Official Club Website, the former Celtic man who signed a two year contract at Portman Road after his third loan spell at the club last season, said: "Obviously I was delighted to get the move done early in the summer and I’m looking forward to pre-season now.

"There’s a real buzz about the place, especially coming off the back of the finish to last season, and I think people want to come here and be a part of that.

“I showed that by coming back to the Club on a permanent basis and Tabby clearly feels the same way, otherwise he wouldn’t have returned.

“We have a manager with a proven track record and a great set of lads here so I really believe the Club is heading in the right direction.”
