Sylvain Distin is urging his Everton teammates to refocus quickly on Wednesday's visit of Chelsea

The defender admitted the Blues were 'feeling sorry for themselves' after Saturday's 1-0 reverse to Liverpool.

But with the league leaders at Goodison this week, Distin knows there is no time for dwelling.

"That's the way it is in England, there's a lot of games and you don't really have too much time to feel sorry for yourself, you have to refocus on the next game,"

"It's going to be another big game and it's a big month so we have to turn the page and learn from our mistakes and carry on."

Distin also reflected on the boost Everton received before the derby when Louis Saha signed a two-year contract extension.

"It's great news," said the former Portsmouth man. "He's a fantastic player He's a good guy in the dressing room as well so it's great news for the fans, the staff and players.

"He's really lively and he's really friendly so it's always enjoyable to be around guys like that."
