East Fife lost 4-1 to Morton today in what was a big game for both sides. The home side did not look like a team fit for top of the league. Morton created several first-half chances, going in 2-0 at half time, while East Fife couldn't even get a shot on target... With the damage already done in the first-half, it became mission impossible after a ridiculous third Morton 'goal' moments after the re-start. The linesman flagged for offside (2 players were clearly offside) but the referee over-ruled, told him to lower his flag and the play continued upon when Morton were able to add an easy third.
Morton then added a fourth after Ovenstone was stupidly caught-out and brought down his counterpart in the box before receiving a red-card for being the last man.
Deuchar added a consolotaion, for a now, fired-up East Fife.
