Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has finally got his man - the drawn out transfer of Darren bent to the north east is finally complete. The club had to break their record highest fee to bring the striker to Wearside, but some would still consider the £10m to be cheap for a young english international and proven premier league goalscorer.

Bent has signed a 4 year contract with the black cats, and is very enthusiastic and happy to be on wearside.

Bent was Tottenham's top scorer last season but fell out of favour with boss Harry Redknapp.

He should be a great addition to the squad, and I expect everyone on wearside is very excited for the upcoming season after the quality signings made by Steve Bruce.

It seems our new manager is the 'real deal'.
