Wimbledon Football Club have launched a bid to use the National Hockey Stadium in Milton Keynes as a temporary home.
Last month an FA-appointed independent commission gave the Dons permission to controversially relocate 60 miles north of their current Selhurst Park home in South London.
Tony Bilson, chairman of Hockey Centre Limited, the company which runs the 4,000 - seated stadium, said "A deal is a real possibility."
If Wimbledon do move to National Hockey Centre then they will remain their for two years.
