New, insane, mad, stupid, daft, crazy. We are going to be all of these so fasten your seat belt and hold on for the mad new world of Shaymen.org

Welcome to the new Halifax Town website, "shaymen.org" which will be like no other website about the mighty Shaymen.

Why is it going to be different? Because, we don't give a damn about upsetting anyone. By that I don't mean we will purposely go out to upset anyone, but we are going to add a bit of humour to supporting the Town, and prove that football can be a bit of fun, even when supporting the Shaymen.

My name is Cuth, I have been supporting Town for about 50 years, I sit in the Scircoat with my pipe and brother, and have done for most of the 50 years, especially since the arthritis kicked in. One of my favourite past-players is Ricky Holden. Not just because he was a great footballer, but also because he would always have a pint or ten with me and the other fans after the match. 

My brother is Rupe, and he is also a mad town fanatic like me. We are usually sat together in the stand, except if we have had a disagreement (which happens regularly) in which he will go and sit at the other side of the stand. His favourite past-player is Lee Hendrie but probably only because of the famous win over Manchester City.

The SportNetwork has given us a chance to work on the network. We don't get paid and we don't have any guidelines to stick to. We just want to make a informative and humorous website for fellow town fans. We also want your stories and views about what is going on at the club. Send in your articles or past memories about matches. Maybe do your own match report.

We do not want to conflict with the official Halifax Town website because that is making the club a lot of money and bringing in a lot of interest and publicity. But there can never be too much information available for us fans.
