Striker set to leave on loan...

Calvin Zola is set to leave Crewe Alexandra on loan in a bid to regain some form. The Congolese striker has fallen down the pecking order at Gresty Road and now finds himself behind Shaun Miller, AJ Leitch-Smith, Clayton Donaldson and Byron Moore.

Zola has scored just once this term in seven appearances and is hoping to secure a temporary move with Bradford City thought to be the most likely destination.

Dario Gradi told the clubs official site: “Calvin now has the opportunity to move out on loan. We have enough cover in Shaun, Clayton and now AJ. I could also play Byron up there if needs be”.

Zola’s long term future at Gresty Road was also thrown into doubt as the Crewe chief looks to have lost patience with Big Calv. Again speaking the clubs official site: “We will allow Calvin to go out on loan because I am prepared to give others a chance”.
