One player looks like getting a call up but two are left out for their respective countries.
Chris Humphrey has this week been linked with a call up to the Jamaican International squad after his impressive performances for Motherwell this season.
He qualifies for Scotland thanks to his mother being born in Kilmarnock, but Chris was born in Kingston in Jamaica before returning to the Midlands.
The Jamaicans have three games coming up in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in early June, against Grenada, Guatemala and Honduras.
Stephen Craigan has not been selected for the Northern Ireland squad for the Carling Home Nations Cup. He has been rested for these two games having played over 50 games this season for Club and Country. This is probably what the Well skipper deserves and thoroughly deserves the break ahead of next season.
Finally, despite an excellent season for club and Scotland Under 21s, Jamie Murphy has been overlooked by Scotland once again. He has been overlooked by Craig Levein in preference to James Forrest of Celtic and Chris Maguire of Aberdeen.
Forrest has only played 21 games for Kilmarnock while Murphy has been a regular for Motherwell in all competitions for about three seasons! Murphy has played in Europe, Scotland Under 21s but is still overlooked.
While it could be argued Murphy is not ready for a Scotland call up, he is surely better equipped than Forrest and at least as good a shout as Maguire. Come Levein do the right thing and pick the right players.
