In a disappointing end to the transfer window it looks as though we will see no one come in to Fir Park while four have been allowed to go out the other way.
Out goes back up keeper Michael Fraser who was the last player signed by Mark McGhee before he left for Aberdeen. The keeper started the first couple of games under Jim Gannon before the manager signed John Ruddy to be his number one.
Poor Mickey never had a chance after that and had to play second fiddle all of last season. He had a trial in South Africa in the summer but couldn't find a club to take him on.
With Criag Brown signing Darren Randolph and Lee Hollis it always looked like the writing on the wall for Fraser. At least he has now been released which gives him a chance to pick up a new club.
Three youngsters have been loaned to Albion Rovers until January. Steven Meechan, Peter Innes and Steven Lawless all of whom have represented Scotland at Youth level (up to U19's), will take their place in Paul Martin's side; currently sitting fourth in the Third Division, three points behind table-toppers Berwick Rangers.
The club also showed some balls when they turned down an offer from Swansea for Mark Reynolds which they considered too low for their valuation of the player.
It may have been different if Wigan's reported £1 million bid had actually materialised, I am sure we would have bitten their hands off for that.
It looks as though we are having to see through to January with a thread bare squad, I must confess I am not too optimisitic after this transfer window.
