The seasons getting closer with the Motherwell players back in training and rumours circulating about ins and outs at Fir Park

The Motherwell players kicked off pre-season training yesterday with only two new players taking part. The two were former Airdrie keeper Lee Hollis and Cypriot defender Angelis Charalambous.

There have been a number of rumours circulating today, with a story saying that Charlton keeper Darren Randolphs will sign on Thursday. This will end the stories linking John Ruddy with a return to the club, and at teh same time signal the end of Michael Fraser's time at Fir Park.

The former Inverness keeper is allegedly looking at a move to South Africa.

The other story that has come out today is from the Wishaw Press which hints Giles Coke will not be returning and is likely to feature in the Championship next season, apparently with Sheffield Wednesday.

More worringly is the quote from Craig Brown on STV.tv which hints no one will come in unless Mark Reynolds goes out, “We would lose a terrific player but it would give us funds to strengthen the team.

"Mark Reynolds deserves the best move he can get and the club is supportive of his move because it would benefit the club financially but also because it would benefit Mark and he has been such a good servant here".

The next few weeks ahead of the season will be very interesting and I think with Knox and Brown in charge I think we will be in good shape before we take on Hibs on the first day of the season.
