On loan midfielder Michael McGlinchey has made it into the final 23 for New Zealand as they look to take on Italy, Paraguay and Slovakia
McGlinchey will become only the second Motherwell player to go to the World Cup Finals following in the footsteps of Tommy Coyne who played for the Republic of Ireland in USA 94.
The former Celtic man joined Motherwell in January on loan from Central Coast Mariners with a view to getting match time and keeping fit to prepare him for the World Cup.
He made only one start for Motherwell, in the last game of the season at Ibrox and appeared as a sub on seven further occassions.
The trip to Fir Park has been beneficial for McGlinchey and also added depth to the Well squad in the meantime.
This will give all Motherwell fans another reason to watch the World Cup and someone to get behind.
