The last five SPL fixtures have been announced and once again we have been bealt a poor hand, ending the season with 20 away games and only 18 at home.
For the second season in a row we have been let down by the SPL, once again we have no Saturday home fixture after the split! This time we have a 16:45 Sunday kick off and a Thursday evening kick off on Election Day!
We will also have no Old Firm fixture after the split having to make a third trip to Celitc park after the split.
Can someone please explain to me how this is fair?
One of the aims of getting into the top six is financial with an additional visit from an Old Firm club, usually meaning a larger crowd and TV coverage - but not for us this season.
Financially it is also well known that Saturday games attract bigger crowds but no such luxury for us this season again.
On the plus side we don't have to worry about relegation and can push for Europe but I guess even that is made more difficult with the imbalance in the fixtures.
Would any of the city clubs suffer this way, never mind the Old Firm, I don't thik so but it is easy to shaft the "diddy" team!
The only solution for me is to increase the size of the club and ditch the split.
