Craig Brown revealed in his post match press conference this afternoon that there could be movement in the transfer window this week. The manager spoke of his own future firstly when he revealed, “We haven’t spoken about it yet as there is no transfer window for Managers, but there is for players. The two discussions we have had with the Chairman have been about players not about our position. We said let’s get the players situation sorted before we worry about us." He then went on to add that there will be on playing coming in by early February, “We will be brining in Michael McGlinchey from West Coast Mariners in Australia, he is an New Zealand international and he will be going to the World Cup, therefore we have brought a World Cup player to Motherwell. He has improved since he left Celtic and is an attacking, clever midfield player.

“He will be a great addition for us in the second week in February and he is coming here to get match practice and benefit Motherwell. He will be with us until the end of the season.”

On Slane's future he said, "We have made him an offer which he has rejected, there is a whisper that Celtic have made a better offer but there will be compensation involved.”

We will have to wait and see if this is the start of some real movement in the next week before the closing of the transfer window.
