Are the SPL about to change their rules about post match press conferences thanks to Jim Gannon's absence from the post match at Easter Rd on Saturday.
Jim Gannon appears to have cause some consternation at the SPL by missing a couple of post match press conferences in recent weeks, at Hamilton and at Easter Rd on Satruday.
At the moment the club is obliged to send the manager or representative and one player to the post match press conference. But if they don't there is no sanction at the moment apart from a bit of a slaughtering in the press.
The manager is also obliged to speak to the Radio rights holder, BBC Scotland, and again Jim Gannon has chosen to blank them a few times in recent weeks.
Personally I believe the manager should attend ALL press conferences and answer the questions asked and present his case to the Motherwell fans.
Last week Gannon had a go at the referees in his post match thoughts and this provoked much discussion across the country - a good thing in my mind given how poor our refs are.
Interestingly he has been backed up this week by Eddie May and Csabo Laszlo who have both complained about ref's decisions this week without causing the same fuss.
Jim, please get back to the press conferences and share your philosophy on the game that is always interesting to listen to.....
