Motherwell's six game unbeaten run came to a shuddering halt this afternoon when they were well beaten by Hibs at Fir Park
Motherwell got off to a terrible start when they found themsleves a goal behind after only nine minutes. Jim O'Brien gave the ball away deep in the Hibs half allowing Zemmama to run 70 yards to cross for Riordan who coolly picked out Nish for a tap in.
We kept the ball well in the opening stages but without really threatening while Hibs always looked dangerous on the break.
It took until 35 minutes for us to find an equaliser and it came from a strange source. First it came from a corner, and then it came from Mark Reynolds who hadn't scored for the best part of three years! He headed high past Stack from an O'Brien corner.
The game was over ten minutes after the break, first Riordan scored from an acure angle and then Ruddy caught sleeping as Zemmama bent in a free kick from wide on the left.
The game looked as though it was a step too far for many of the young players who couldn't cope with the extra quality Hibs had in their attacking third.
They will need to show a strength of character when they take on Falkirk next week at Fir Park,
