With Well out of the Scottish Cup what are the alternatives this weekend to keep us entertained?

If we had managed to beat St. Mirren in the last round we could have been playing Celtic at Fir Park in front of the Sky cameras but we are having to cope with a weekend without football instead.

The first option to keep everyone entertained over the weekend could be watching the tie we could have been in by watching the Saints playing Celtic on TV at 12:15, it may be too painful for some this particular option.

It would appear it is too hard for the Manager to cope with as he is heading to his home in Brighton and is looking to take in the Crystal Palace game to help keep his mind off what is happening up here.

I am going to take in the Airdrie v Livingston game in the First Division to see how three of our former youngsters get on. They are Bobby Donnelly, David Nixon and Stephen Maguire, who are all striving hard to keep Airdrie in the First Division.

Then on Sunday we could tune in to BBC to watch local rivals Hamilton take on Rangers at Ibrox in the Cup. This again could be too painful to watch, particularly if the Accies can pull off a win like Inverness did in midweek.

Ah well, we are only a week away from a big game with Dundee Utd in the race for a European place.
