After securing our first three points since the start of November Manager Mark McGhee was more upbeat than he was last week following the defeat to Hamilton. He has to take the credit for the win with the changes he made to the side making the side more solid.

After being the worst manager in the League last week it was a more up beat Mark McGhee who spoke after the game yesterday.

The manager showed he was always confident the return of key players would see result change, McGhee said: "It coincided with the return of all these players, Clarkson and Craigan in particular.

"We used the positive vibe from the huddle to start us in the game, but we also had those players.

"Had we had the huddle and the team we were putting out over the last couple of weeks, it might not have been half as effective. Both things helped us today.

"I think the huddle was the right thing at the beginning, it was enough.

"I was taken a little bit by surprise (by the singing) on the time, and I think we all felt a bit emotional there, and it happened when they had a corner. But I think it all went well."

He also spoke about the future of hat trick hero Chris Porter "I am worried we will be losing him eventually, it's our decision whether we lose him in January."

He stressed, “No-one has spoken to me about Chris Porter.” "My ambition is to climb the table as high as we can and we need Chris Porter to do that.

"Up until now Chris Porter has not been banging my door asking to leave, so we will have to wait and see.”

He also added he is working to keep Maros Klimpl at the club ahead of the trip to Love St next week by extending his loan beyond the end of December. Although it does look likely he will not be extending the loan of keeper Gunnar Neilson.
