Was three pre-season games asking to much

Motherwell arranged three home friendlies this season, against Wolves, Bradford and Preston, and they were watched by just about 6000 (a normal home gate) over the three games. Maybe this was down to the rather unimaginative pricing policy from the club. I was amazed when we announced three games at home during pre-season particularly how apathetic Well fans have become toward pre-season games, particularly since they were taken off the season tickets.

When the games were announced I thought the club had been given an opportunity to come with some imaginative pricing and marketing for the games.

Well the new regime didn't let me down! They continued with the blind faith that people will turn up to any game no matter how much you ask of them. They thought they were doing us a favour by making the games £10 each.

No surprise that many people that this was a bit steep, given for one adult this was £30 in a week. Why couldn't they come up with some form of loyalty scheme.

Why not give people who attend the first two games with Wolves and Bradford a voucher to get into the Preston game free, or for a fiver.

OR even reward season ticket holders by giving them one game on their ticket thus rewarding their loyalty.

Thinking of the fans doesn't appear to be on the agenda at Fir Park these days......
