Everton boss David Moyes has put minds at rest regarding loan star Jo facing a long spell on the sidelines.
The Brazilian international has shown his worth to the Toffees with his displays and goals during pre-season games this summer and he grabbed Everton’s only goal in a 2-1 defeat at Blackpool on Tuesday.
But the star picked up an injury towards the end of the game and had to be carried down the tunnel and then left the ground on crutches. But after giving the player a good dose of looking at, Moyes expects him to be ready for the big kick off on August 15th.
He told the Echo: “Jo went over on his ankle but we don’t think it’s too severe.“
We didn’t think it was too bad at the time and we don’t think it is now.”
