Manchester City will reportedly make an improved bid for Everton's England defender Joleon Lescott within the next few hours.
City had a £15million offer for Lescott rejected by Everton earlier this month but it was always likely that they would be back with a better offer, especially if they failed to land John Terry.
Now that bid for the 26 year old is going to be made some time very soon as Mark Hughes makes Lescott his number one target as he attempts to strengthen his rearguard.
Lescott moved to Everton in 2006 in a £5million transfer from Wolves, who he joined as a trainee in 1999.
